Big Bucket Deals are godsend makeup and perfumes sales that are set various parts of the country every month or so. It started off as a makeup and perfume sale but quickly expanded to include nail polishes, hair products, house hold items and even designer handbags. When it first began, it was a dream come true. Makeup is heavily heavily marked up in New Zealand. Drugstore brands like Maybelline, Revlon, Loreal average $20-50 for products so $10 or so for a lipstick at these makeup sales were a huge deal.
My enthusiasm for this has die down a long time ago towards these sales, mainly because they happen so frequently and often contain the same products over and over again. However I had a few hours to kill and heard about a new sale at ASB Showgrounds Greenlane (23 July-27 July) so decided to go in and see what's on offer.
I went to the sale around mid afternoon so there weren't a lot of people. There were a lesser quantity of products this time around but the variety has increased since the last time I went. There were a few things that caught my eye including Ysl Touche Eclat Radiant Touch $49( Retails at $76 at Smith and Caughey), Maybelline Baby lips duos $6, Ciate Nail Polish sets $10, Butter London nail polishes $12 each or 2 for $20, Maybelline Colour Tattoo eyeshadows $5(Retails at $20 in pharmacies), Clinque bottom lash mascara $29, Maybelline Fit Me Foundation $14, Essie Nail polishes at $7.

I brought a few things to try out as well as old favourites.
- Ciate Chalkboard Manicure Set $10
- Batiste Dry Shampoo 200ml $7 (Retails at $14)
- Essie Grow Faster Base Coat $7 (Retails at $24.99)
- Revlon Matte Lipstick-Mauve It Over $9 (Retails at $25.99)
- Button London Nail Lacquer Tart With A Heart $10 (Retails at $29.95)
- Butter London Nail Lacquer Two Fingered Salute $10 (Retails at $29.95)
- Agran Oil Hair Mask 220ml $6
